Severe weather will continue to be a possibility in the area both days this weekend. For today, damaging winds are the main threat, as daytime heating will allow storms to develop this afternoon. Late this evening, severe storms are again possible as a cluster of storms traverse eastward from the Tennessee Valley. For Sunday, a cold front brings greater lift to the area, with damaging winds again being the largest threat. Large hail is also possible area-wide, and an isolated tornado cannot be ruled out for the far eastern Piedmont.
